Edge Clip Cable Ties Anti-UV Testing for Solar Panel Cable Wire Management

Introduction

The customer is a German solar harness wholesaler. Per German import requirements, an anti‑UV test certificate was requested. After providing UL, RoHS, and REACH certifications, we performed a standalone anti‑UV test for the customer.

Test Objective

To determine the UV‑resistance and durability of the edge‑clip cable tie (reference: WYF25H04093651P) under accelerated ultraviolet aging conditions.

Test Method

  1. Equipment: QUV/SPRAY ultraviolet aging chamber.
  2. Environmental conditions: Temperature 21.4°C, relative humidity 54.0%.
  3. Standards referenced: GB/T 16422.3, ISO 4892.3, ASTM G154, ASTM D4329.
  4. Samples: 10 specimens (S‑01 to S‑10).

Irradiation parameters:

  1. Lamp: UVA‑340 1A type
  2. Irradiance: 0.76 W/(m²·nm)
  3. Black‑panel temperature: 60°C
  4. Cycle: continuous illumination for 8 hours

Results

Visual inspection: No noticeable changes in appearance for any of the ten tested samples after the accelerated UV aging cycle.
Interpretation: The samples retained structural integrity and surface appearance under the specified test conditions.

Conclusion

Finding: The edge‑clip cable tie WYF25H04093651P demonstrates significant resistance to ultraviolet aging when tested under the specified accelerated conditions.

Implication: The product is suitable for outdoor exposure and environments with high UV irradiation, supporting extended service life and maintained functionality for end users and industry applications.

Notes

Limitation: Results are specific to the described test parameters and samples; performance in real‑world conditions may vary with different exposure durations, spectra, temperatures, and mechanical stresses.
